The weather for that area of the country has been abnormally wet since then, particularly after 1940.

It won't last. Precipitation levels will revert to the mean eventually. If the enduring droughts return to CA, there will be a mass exodus from that state.

The AGW fraudsters will blame it on CO2.
One significant difference is the amount of water being drained from the Ogallala Aquifer. One of these days they are going to have an extended drought, that will never end (at least in the lifespan of a human). More arable lands are opening up in the north. Alberta and Alaska both are experiencing agricultural booms compared to just a decade ago.

As the climate changes, so will our crops and where we grow them.

It is the height of hubris to consider that man can alter the climate, either way. What we should be doing, in order to ensure the survival of our species, is learning how to adapt to inevitable climate changes.

This is pretty alarming frankly, but nothing unusual to see here, so move along....
So are so arguing that weather IS climate, and that CO2 is causing the high pressure air mass responsible for the weather in California? you do realize that that high pressure one is common during the winter months for that region, right?
