And While We

South Carolina state Sen. Lee Bright (R), who is challenging Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) in the GOP primary, said on Friday that school teachers should be able to carry machine guns to protect students from gun violence.

Great news, let's put machine guns in schools.

And school shootings will drop to zero. These cowards that shoot up schools know they will meet no resistance because only law-abiding citizens actually obey gun free zones, which makes only criminals safe.

OP, please remember the terms and conditions of the CURRENT EVENTS forum.

"The Current Events Forum is strictly for non-political discussions. No partisan jabs and no very controversial topics"

You were reminded of the terms in the Purdue thread but for some reason you want to keep posting here. Let me introduce you to POLITICS AND OTHER CONTROVERSIES, the appropriate place for gun threads. It's not difficult to find. I even hyperlinked it for your convenience.

Perhaps, but think of the increase in students being shot by teachers!

I'm only mildly joking BTW.

Think of the punk students that will think twice about talking back to the teacher. Classroom discipline will be greatly improved and the students might actually learn something.

machine guns?! get out of here with your propaganda drivel, they will carry concealed pistols most likely, and maybe have a couple semi automatic rifles stored away safely.

Israel solved their school shootings in the same manner. Arm the teachers. It's so logical and effective it's no surprise this dysfunctional country rebels at the thought.

There's an obvious correlation between "gun-free zones" and mass shootings. Stop making our schools soft targets. And machine guns require ATF approval and cost about 20k a piece. So your info is way off. Concealed Carry of a handgun by people who are already eligible, already have one is more likely what was being discussed.
