This is the Faeroe Islands in the North Sea which while technically part of Denmark are completely autonomous and the central government doesn't have any direct authority to make laws for them.

They can't all be intelligent dolphins. There must be some dumb bunnies. Indeed, you would think the more intelligent would know to keep away from there.

While pilot whales are biologically a dolphin species just like orcas, they are still normally referred to as whales, both because they are larger than other dolphin species and looks extremely different from the others. This hoax article calls them "dolphins" only to stir up emotions with saying that they are "playful" etc and "coming to the islands thinking they will play with the locals". This is not true, and pilot whales does not have such behavior, its not a "playful animal" that interacts with humans, and is more like a baleen whale than a dolphin in their behavior.

People who spread this hoax articles should be ashamed of themselves.
