but it doesnt matter, because one only goes to jail AFTER they have been accused of doing something, so his internal punishments isnt to deter crime, its to make them behave while there.
Sorry you're talking about reported crime. Lets talk about that. Whats the one crime that will almost ALWAYS get reported? Murder. Sooo...If you're in Maricopa county your chance of being the victim of homicide went up by 6% in the link you gave.....

And how can you reduce your "crime" rate?

Oh thats easy.....just don't investigate. Like these 400 sex crimes that weren't investigated?

Or the over 4,000 child protective service investigations that weren't done?

Seriously, we believe that murder happens at twice the rate of sexual assault? (thats from your link by the way.)

Yeah nice place.

He is actually making jail time miserable.

Arpaio jailed no one. Deputies on the street did that. And he has certain rules while in jail. Break them and life becomes very miserable. As I said, jail is not to be a liberal summer camp.

The man is a complete moron...PERIOD! No other jail would dare put a flag in a jail neverless an American one even if it is just for safety reason. This butt clown is risking the lives of his deputies just to prove some assinine point by leaving something that could be used as a weapon or for someone to commit suicide (read murder).

Once this happens he is going to get hit with another lawsuit because this crap is not necessary in the first place

It's amazing the lengths liberals will go to justify or excuse destructive vandalism by criminals. Is it because it's an American flag that they're so eager to allow it? Do they really think that inmates who deface and destroy items in their cell in any jail would be treated differently?

How is it cruel or unusual. Go to the brig in the military and depending upon your crime you are fed bread and water.
I like that there is no air conditioning in his tent prison, no olympic weights, no basketball courts in short no recreational facilities.
He feeds them the cheapest food money can buy. If you don't like the diet and or the facilities try obeying the law and avoid doing time.
I wonder if he has drug rings selling drugs in his prison? Illegal cell phones?
