The media is NOT liberal. I can agree that the journalists themselves may have liberal leanings but the owners of the media are for certain center-right.
Perhaps if he provided and moved on some solutions that will work vs. just blame everyone which is now going on it's sixth year of it's not his fault. Why not extend unemployment payments for five years. Skip this month increase, go big! Push for lots of spending, like food stamps and subsidized housing. Nobody is listening to Obama because he keeps saying the s-a-m-e thing over and over. Always campaigning. Remember Carney said it's the year of Action. Doesn't matter I'd he grows out his stubble, we know it's him, even without any eye brows.

My guess would be Social Security recipients of the near future.
Raising the minimum wage is equal to pissing into the ocean. One guy gets an extra $1.00 an hour and the markets get trillions.

The minimum wage argument is simply a "hey, look over there" diversion. Maybe there is a need to bump the minimum wage but its going to do nothing for the growing wealth gap.

Excellent documentary. Thanks for posting it. Yes, most of the drivel the right wing speaks is literally corporate propaganda that they've convinced themselves are organic ideas they've just learned from great minds like Thomas Sowell (who I might add is a brilliant man).

Hey no disagreement from me. You're right. Id rather see action than a good speech.

I don't get how you telling me that unions screw over their workers or are corrupt is in anyway basic economics?

Just give it up. You clearly don't know what you're talking about.

You claim I get all my info from bias left wing sources but you just recommended a book to me by a libertarian nut job from Hillsdale college! LOL!
Actually, the supply and demand curve is recognized by Keynesians, Monetarists, neo-classical and even Marxist economists, Unions succeed by restricting the supply of labor. They do this by methods such as tariffs, racial and gender discrimination, laws requiring governments utilize labor unions, etc.. Trade unions tend to screw other laborers in their fiels, especially minority laborers while industrial unions tend to screw the consumer. The classic example of industrial unions screwing the consumer is the crappy cars we were stuck with in the 70's before Japanese competition came into play.

Once again the supply and demand curve is standard economics not limited to any certain schools. Unions succeed by reducing the supply of labor. This harms other laborers and the consumer. It may or may not harm the corporations they work for. Companies, like unions, favor restricting competition.

I don't understand.....I note that Obama has played a starring role in helping create the wealth gap, you say you agree with me but then you continue blaming it all on the right.

Yes McCain and Romney would have done the same but that is the point. Neither party is any different when it comes yo actions. Pretty words solve nothing.

No, McCain and Romney would not have done the same. Obamacare would not be the law of the land had either one of them been elected.

I am so tired of the "there's no difference" crowd. Yeah, there is. If you can't see it, you are clueless.

Your cry's of socialism and communism are Fox news and Rush radio BS. The only countries that do those things are countries like China, North Korea, and the former USSR. Do you honestly think Americas liberals want a government like China's?

America's liberals want a government like Switzerland's, and they have a social-capitalist government (and Switzerland kicks Americas butt in everything.)

The ironic thing is Switzerland's government is run by conservative principles and methods. But Americas republicans are no longer conservatives. Today's republicans have abandoned conservative principles, and they (only) want things like this,

Romney's Economic Plan Includes $6.6 Trillion Tax Cut For The Rich And Corporations | ThinkProgress

That whole $6.6 trillion dollars would have been added to our national debt, and it would have financed the building of US factories in China (but you republicans still want it.)

I agree with you to a large extent, but there's little doubt that raising the minimum would be the Democrats' primary strategy to dealing with this. At the very least it's their first step.
