Astonishingly the judge who sentenced him received letters from district employees saying that Lomaglio had been a good role model for children. Some wrote that they would trust him with their own kids. Not one of the letters included a mention of the victim.
There is no indication when the letters were written or recieved. I could write a letter of support before a conviction. Once the person is tried, conviceted and sentenced...my letter of support would be moot and irrelavant.

Until someone is convicted...they are still considered innocent.
