God help us we're now entering a depression. I think i'm going to purchase some farm land at least I won't starve. And finally I want to personally thank the radical left wing idiot in the WH for ruining the nation.

US stocks slammed; Dow falls 300-plus points in worst week since 2011

This is simply a blip......however, things are aligning for a major worldwide economic collapse. China has been manipulating it's currency for years to stay competitive....we've been printing trillions of dollars for years, further devaluing our currency.

The current administration and its "useful idiots" keep pointing at the DOW as proof that the economy is improving.....despite the fact that poverty is at record levels, food stamp use is also at all time highs and worker participation rates are at all time lows.

If the Dow went down 10,000 points after he took office you'd say he's ruining the nation but in fact the Dow went up 10,000 points and you also say he's ruining the nation?

This made me think, dire things about the stock market in Obama's first 3 months in office:

From January 20th, 2009

//www.city-data.com/forum/polit...ket-falls.html

From March 7th, 2009

//www.city-data.com/forum/polit...down-down.html

From April 20th, 2009

//www.city-data.com/forum/polit...ck-market.html

Funny predictions about runaway inflation that I'm still waiting for:

From February 12th, 2009

//www.city-data.com/forum/polit...tion-then.html

From Febuary 6th, 2009

//www.city-data.com/forum/polit...inflation.html

From January 26th, 2009--6 whole days after Obama became President

//www.city-data.com/forum/polit...inflation.html

And a hilarious prediction that all but 4 states would go bankrupt, from January 31st, 2009 (11 days into Obama's Presidency)

//www.city-data.com/forum/polit...ankruptcy.html

People on the right seriously need to stop predicting things.

No fan of Obama here but the market is overdue for a bit of a correction and the reasons for the large drop are more tied in with currency problems in emerging markets than domestic concerns.

You can draw a straight line from the era of Reaganomics through the administration of ever single president since then to today. The American train has been on the same track for decades, and whether the great Holy of Holies the Dow is up, down or inside out is not the be-all/end-all of the trip. Alphamale has point to a couple of things that are probably more ominous signs of where this train has been going for a long time now.

The brown man in the white house will go. And the trip will continue on the same route, just as it was headed before he moved in.

If the stock market had reached 16K under President Romney, conservatives would have literally been having orgies in the streets.
