In a case of domestic abuse a police officer can refuse to act. But they have to call out another officer that will handle the issue. What happens then? What happens if someone gets seriously harmed because the police won't act?
Not to mention the law is in direct violation of the Kansas state constitution.
If homosexual are paying taxes that support these government functions, and protections, and government employee salaries, shouldn't they be treated like any other taxpayer?
Should gays get to decide which employees they will not pay for and get a tax deduction?
Why do you want to trample on their religious rights? Ain't yall all for "rights" respect others!
Bills filed in the South Dakota and Kansas legislatures seek to protect clergy, church officials and businesspeople who refuse to provide services for same-sex marriages or receptions because of their religious beliefs.
The bills would prevent clergy or businesses from being forced to perform or supply goods or services to anything related to same-sex marriages. It could allow a business to refuse to host a reception for a same-sex couple legally married in another state.
The bills also say clergy and businesses could not be sued or charged with crimes if they refused to take part in gay marriages.
Ones religious rights do not trump others rights. Ones religions is just that, ones religion. Government employees work for the government and their religion is back seat, it is not part of their job.
Religious rights are guaranteed in the constitution we all knew this is what would happen once homosexuals were given the right to "marry" forcing others to bend to their will instead of finding people that agree to with their views.

What what WHAT???? Do you really think you'll be "forced" to participate in a gay marriage?
If you get an invitation in the mail, just throw it away. See? Problem solved!

I meant forced to bake their cake,do their floral arrangements,do the pictures etc....I don't know any homosexuals and certainly wouldn't attend some farce wedding of one.

Don't offer wedding services to the general public, problem solved.
Of course the bakery is willing to sell baked goods to gays. It is just not willing to sell gay wedding cakes.
The Denver bakery was perfectly willing to sell a cake for a DOG wedding. So much for their devout 'religious' beliefs.
