One was a teenager turning around in a driveway who was shot dead in his car, another was a senile old man who wandered into somebody else's back yard apparently thinking it was his own. Both of them died. Another was a 12 year old chasing a loose dog into someone's yard who was shot but lived. Nobody was charged in any of these cases. I know that, as a lineman, we have to wear vest at night and cannot go on any private residential property to restore service after dusk. If an outage can be fixed in the street, we will fix it but if it is your service drop or meter, it waits for the sun to come up. I think the phone company has the same policy but I don't know about Comcast.
That's so stupid. Georgia has some messed up gun laws they need to be changed.....

A teenager got shot dead for trying to turn his car around?
A 12 yr old shot for trying to get his dog back???
They could have simply asked the elderly guy to leave instead of shooting him....

He was originally charged but later released on $1000 bond and since that time, the DA there has stated they doubt the case will ever go to trial because of his age.

Plenty of people thought that one should at least consider shooting a person who is texting in a movie theater because you know, it's so annoying. And shooting someone is a great solution for your problems.

Maybe the old dude is half blind and crazy, or maybe he's one mean son of a gun. He's going to jail for life, so I don't see the controversy.

The gun culture, as illustrated below, where it's considered perfectly fine to kill somebody who mistakenly wanders onto your property. The only thing that is deranged in all of this is that there are people--many on this forum--who think a culture that allows this is okay. Now THAT is deranged.

It appears he is out on bond and the charges have not been dismissed. I can find little info on this case past Feb 2013.

Yes, it needs to be changed and done so with reeducation.

I doubt he will be convicted. Its always a sad day when murderers walk free.

If you don't know the history of the NRA, please don't bother making up a response. Educate yourself. It's all there in the history.
The gun grabbing idiots have pushed gun rights to the forefront so EVERY person who can and even those who can't legally buy a gun have bought one and intend to use it. The NRA is a great group that protects the rights of us from the gun grabbers and politicians trying to only allow guns in the hands of the military and law enforcement. Responsibility is the problem. Thugs knowing a lot of people are unarmed thanks to these idiotic gun laws and take advantage of it so instead of thinking twice about breaking into someone's home because they might be armed they go full force so the people inside a home must react and shoot...the government doesn't want the people to have responsibility via protecting themselves so they try and end the 2nd amendment by restricting it bit by bit...yet you can't protect everyone everywhere...even if forbid my child was shot in a school shooting I would not blame the gun..I would blame the state for not allowing his teacher/school to have guns there to protect themselves.

Bwahahahahahahaha …. every moron in the country thinks he should have a gun and use it to solve problems and impress his friends because of gun control advocates? Bwahahahahahahahahaha ….
