If the NSA listens to phone calls, reads text messages, reads e-mail and reads stuff off the Internet, and they know Mohammed Doe, American Citizen, for example, traveled to oh, let's say Yemen, to train with al-Qaeda, then shouldn't the NSA also know where those training camps are and how come the training camps haven't been blown off the map? Why are terrorists picked off onesy-twosy by drones? It just seems to me that a place where you know you can get a lot of them together is a better target. What am I missing?

Most of the terrorist leaders move around all the time. They know all about drones and surveillance. Some of these terrorists also surround themselves with civilians, which reduces the odds the US will attack them.

When the intelligence gets a good lead, I think the evidence is that the US is more than willing to pull the trigger. Remember - one Hellfire missile shot from a drone will destroy a tank or a small building. It would likely kill any/all occupants of a safe house.

As for attacking a "camp" - the US not eager to intrude on the airspace of foreign countries - even supposedly friendly countries.

It's hard when you're funding, arming and training them at the same time.

What you are missing, op is the fact the "War on Terror" is nothing more then a ruse to take away more and more of our rights and further the emergence of the police state.

Your 8x more likely to be killed by a Police officer than a terrorist. Shouldn't the NSA be focusing on them?

I think you've made the point that they don't listen to the phone calls you think they do. Do you want the NSA to do that kind of work or not? How do you suppose they would know where he is? GPS tracking? They know if he makes a call to the United States, which may be useful, but not necessarily. Who says the NSA knows everything?

well said, have to wait 2 rep.

this thread is clearly designed for the lemmings who still believe in the war on dugs and fake war on terror

Sucks for the msm these days that people are informed on facts:

who was Adam Gadahn, whose payroll was he on

Images from official FBI wanted poster for terrorist Adam Yahiye Gadahn
The FBI lists Gadahn’s aliases as Abu Suhayb Al-Amriki, Abu Suhayb, Yihya Majadin Adams, Adam Pearlman, and Yayah.
But Adam Pearlmen is his REAL name! Adam is the grandson of the late Carl K. Pearlman; a prominent Jewish urologist in Orange County. Carl was also a member of the board of directors of the Anti-Defamation League, which was caught spying on Americans for Israel in 1993, much as AIPAC has been caught up in the more recent spy scandal.
