Well when one of them becomes the victim of a crime and they lie to the police about the description of said perp; lets arrest them for aiding and abetteing when the perp strikes again.

So this idiot wants the police to waste resources harassing short black men because it is discriminitory to tell them the attacker was a 6'5" white man.

Actually sounds pretty appropreate. Don't identify the race of the subject when you don't know it. Which they have a record of giving out wrong information. Not only does it waste manpower, likely to spark lawsuits, and the subject is more likely to get away.
As it says at the end the more information is better for crime alerts, as long as it is correct.
What exactly is right about giving out the wrong description of suspects?

They must be criminals hoping this gives them a better chance to get away.

How can you identify a person without knowing his/her race?
lololololol
Maybe they could at least say "light skinned" or "dark skinned" ???? That still doesn't really describe most folks, though . . . what if the thief were middle eastern or latino?
Let's just forget even pursuing folks who break laws. Let's just agree this is an Anarchy and it is each undescribed-color-of skin person for himself.

you are confusing some stuff. the administration in fact is saying more info is better. the organizations that sent the letter to the school president dont want the race of the perp identified even when it is known, because it makes people uncomfortable.

If the victim describes the perp as looking like the Lucky Charms leprechaun, then identifying him as white with red hair can actually eliminate a lot of people right off the bat. On the other hand, Conan O'Brien's day is going to be a little more tedious.
Pretty much any identifying characteristics that are reported are going to cause people who match those characteristics to get a closer look. That's kinda the point. Police should try to get as many of those characteristics as possible - not just race - in order to narrow the search and not waste time, but race is one thing that will come up.
