The woman is amusing. She is not a leader. I am sure I would like her as a person if I met her. But she has no business running for national politics and had McCain not chosen her as a running mate, we would never have even heard about her, tucked away in Alaska.
She has become a phenome with some conservatives simply b/c of her snappy comebacks and down home folksy speech.
That is why she is suited to rally the crowds and speak at get togethers (Lincoln Day Dinners, for ex) but she has become even more entrenched as another Ann Coulter type. And I would think we would all agree - Ann Coulter has no business running for political office.
As the nomination gets closer Paln will fade within the republican party. She was flat out a poor VP candidate and hurt rather than helped McCain. Christie still leads overall :IMO.
Haha, you mean the governor that couldn't even make it through one term as governor before getting bored and moving to Arizona? Alaskans aren't that bright it seems.
"The accusations made news, but with another dismissal of an ethics charge last week against Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the former Republican vice-presidential nominee has quietly been cleared of every ethics complaint filed since the torrent of allegations began in 2008."
Sure. He's divisive as hell, but he isn't ever running for anything again.
How much Bush backlash was there? Enough to get Obama re-elected, I think. How much Obama backlash there is in regards to a Republican winning the Presidency entirely depends on the Republican party. The GOP has to capture a big bunch of the electorate that, so far, they have alienated deeply over the past decade and a half.
If you think Palin is the person who can do it, more power to her and you. Convince the GOP leadership, but you will have to talk Sarah into running first. That's going to be a lot harder proposition.
I don't look to see any of the earlier candidates on either side being nominated in 2016.
