CBO nearly triples estimate of working hours lost by 2021 due to Affordable Care Act

Health-Care Law Expected to Take Greater Toll on Workforce - WSJ.com

So will the reflexive knee-jerk defenders of the hot mess known as Obamacare PLEASE turn their efforts to reducing the damage and improving the results? Senate Dems up for re-election are on the right track--fix, repair, change, transform and reform the reform.

The ACA is doing squat for the uninsured, at huge cost, and screwing up the economy to boot.

PS: The CBO is not a racist right-wing hate organ, so let's stay on topic.

Greater toll on the workforce? No duh.

More people who are unemployed having their health care subsidized by those who work. Not rocket science here that this will mean more income in the taxpayer risk pool.

Subsidize non-productive behavior and you will get more and more non-productive behavior.

That is great for democrats. The more poor and unemployed citizens, the greater number of democrats. It is a liberal dream- an impoverished, dependent nation.

Given how the up-for-election Dems are trying to distance themselves as far from Obama as they can, I would like to think that some "reform the reform" is on the way. But given how ignorant the 545 morons in D.C. are, I won't be shocked if the reform is somehow worse than the reform.

Clearly, this was an ill-conceived piece of sh.....legislation. Everything about it was ill-conceived, from the $1 billion, non-secure website to PajamaBoy.

This disaster is JUST beginning to unfold. Even if you voted for BathhouseBarry™, you have to admit that this law is full of problems. In between this and the joke that is MyRA, I think I'm going to start referring to the president as Nuntu. No, that's not the warrior name of his brave warrior father. In this year of action, Barack Obama will prove to us that he is indeed worthy of the name Nuntu...........Nuntu Bright.

If the ACA is bad because it allows people with health problems to leave work in fairly small numbers then it follows that Medicare, Tricare, VA, and other private retirement health programs are also bad because other wise large numbers of retirees would be forced back into the labor force. More workers, thus more taxes if we got rid of all retirement health care programs...Makes sense to me.

The members of congress can give the CBO a limited set of point to analyze, and the CBO then does a static analysis, and cannot deviate from the data and parameters set by the members of congress. So, with the CBO it can be garbage in, garbage out.

Another great idea that Obama and the Democrats have to improve job opportunities for Americans is to legalize millions of illegal aliens so they can compete directly for our jobs without fear of deportation.

Duplicate thread...
//www.city-data.com/forum/polit...2-million.html

I guess the new thread is needed because it has already been debunked in the first. Even in the first page. Just high tail it and make a new one till people get tired pointing reality out to you.

Too funny...

Here's the Washington Post's take on the CBO report versus the tweets from some in Congress. The CBO will address Congress tomorrow.

What the CBO report on Obamacare really found

From the OP's link:

"Premiums are expected to be 15% less than originally projected".

"No compelling evidence to suggest that the ACA has increased PT work".

Most nations with long term histories of true universal healthcare constantly revise and reform it.

The Constitution originally had 7 articles and was ratified 225 years ago. It was far from perfect or clear. It has been amended 27 times. The SCOTUS has been interpreting and ruling cases, ever since.
