Seems okay to have a cinco De Mayo but its not okay to celebrate America.

Maybe if they had spelled America properly they would have been taken seriously.

Americans with origins here can't celebrate who they are in that demographic?

That really says it all. Someone should point out to the school administrators that Cinco de Mayo is an entirely manufactured "holiday" by the beer companies to sell more beer.

We are global citizens that celebrate diversity and respect multiculturalism now.
This is what we've turned into.

Cinco De Mayo is a bigger event where I am than Veteran's Day or Columbus Day or even D-Day.
There's never a mention of Sweet Sixteen anymore but plenty of planning for Quinceanera.
The majority do get what they want whether you like it or not.
Adjust and adapt is your only recourse.
