Regardless I think gay groups should be a little more respectful here. It would be like an atheist showing up to a Christmas parade and openly mocking Christianity. Or wanting to wave a '' no religion '' flag around. This parade in particular has nothing to do with homosexuality or gay marriage, neither do halloween parades or 99 % of parades. Gay people have their own parades, just go to one of those instead?

Besides no one is being discriminated against here, gas are entirely welcomed at this parade (as they should be), they just can't use the parade to push their lifestyle on others, which is fine as the St. Patricks Day Parade has nothing to do with being gay.

See this is why people get upset, most people couldn't care less about people being gay or not, it's your own business, but gay activist groups constantly want to keep throwing it up into everyone's face on every occasion they get. It's just ridiculously annoying. They are more preachy than some Christian extremists.
So, St Josephs Parish in Seattle, St Andrews Parish in Portland, among several other Catholic churches that march in parades are fringe religions. OK.

DeBlasio said he's always boycotted it.
So this isn't something new.
He feels gays should march in every NYC parade.

It's only headlines because he's mayor now.

In response the gay groups want the mayor to ban any city public worker from marching.
Thankfully the mayor said no to them. He said he respects their right to march.

Are they homos first, or Irish first? If homo first, then wait for the stupid homo parade. Why the hell do these people feel the need to interject their sexuality into everything? They say they want to be treated normally, but many of them keep pushing on everyone else, the fact that they are homos. Stop, leave everyone else alone and live your damn lives.

No one said they cant march. But why do they feel the need to promote their homo-ness at a Parade for the Irish?! Leave your damn sexual crap at the door and march for Irish pride. Save your proudness of being a homo for your own damn sick, perverted parades.

Actually I think you do care or this wouldn't bother you to have them march with their Gay Irish banners.

If the Pope says "who am I to judge", then shouldn't the archdiocese of Ney York take their lead from that statement...If in fact this is a "catholic" parade"?

No one is being '' singled out '' stop with the false victimization.

LBGT groups are simply being asked not to '' advertise '' their sexuality because it has literally nothing to do with St. Patricks Day. They are still allowed to attend (as they should be). I think gay activist groups are just upset because they can't use this parade to promote their agenda. You guys can go have your own parades.

Homosexuality has nothing to do with St. Patricks Day. Just like how the Easter Bunny has nothing to do with the 4th of July.

This is an IRISH DAY PARADE not a "oh hey im a homo " parade. You can hold banners up that represent that EVENT , this event is not about being gay or showing gay pride. If your gay and irish , who cares? but there is no reason to be walking around promoting gay pride in a different type of event.

Please , imagine if there was a gay pride event and some people marched in it holding up different banners that has NOTHING to do with the event , that would be drama queen central for you lol.
