Which commandment is he breaking? Love your neighbor? You can't love your neighbor's sin. Homosexual acts are sin.

Sin is an irrelevant term in a country where the government is separate from religion.

There is no seperation of church and state. There is the guarantee of freedom OF religion, not FROM religion. You're not very familiar with the Constitution for a guy that has Mensa in his username. Sin is considered "irrelevant" by those who want to sin.

Sorry, but your statement is wrong on several levels. It is well understood by constitutional scholars that you can't have freedom of religion without also having freedom from religion. That's the only way non-Christians can have freedom of religion. As often happens in cases like this, freedom of religion is interpreted in a way that only applies to Christians. It's not freedom of religion for Jews or Buddhists, for example. Also, Sin is a term that only applies in a religious context, making it irrelevant in the context of government.

Just so you know, I am quite familiar with the Constitution, and the Amendments. Why did you think that every member of Mensa would be familiar with the Constitution? That's not what Mensa is about.

Alabama's chief justice, known on the national stage for fighting to display the Ten Commandments in a judicial building, is jumping into the gay marriage debate with his push for a states-led constitutional amendment defining the institution as a union between one man and one woman.

"The moral foundation of our country is under attack," Chief Justice Roy Moore said in an interview with The Associated Press.

Moore said the only way to stop judges who are finding new rights for gay unions is with a state-initiated constitutional amendment. "Government has become oppressive, and judges are warping the law," Moore said.
Federalism is under attack, and gay marriage is just one of many issues that are being used by the statists.
