Rape cases are often one persons word against another, and there have been quite a few cases of women later being charged with falsely accusing people. Would you really want to execute someone on that level of evidence.

No. It has to be proven. But once proven, execution is the penalty.
NO to the death penalty...simply because of a long history of people being falsley accused, convicted, and sentenced to prison, only to be found innocent YEARS later.

For anyone that goes to prison it's been "proven"..hasn't it?
Doesn't mean the verdict is always correct...and THAT'S been proven multiple times as well.
Castration is not going to stop a rapist from assaulting someone, nor a pedophile from hurting a little one.
For them it's about power...just because their plumbing won't work doesn't mean they'll stop...there's more than one way to rape someone....sick, I know.
For anyone who sexually abuses or exploits a child, or who harms a child in commission of a crime, the mandatory penalty should be death. No plea, no appeals. And not 20 years after the act.
For rape? Castration with a dull and rusty butter knife. No anesthesia or meds involved afterwards.
Problem with that is that a rapist has nothing to lose by killing his victims, actually they might be inclined to murder the victims, less of a chance of getting caught.
However, the mode of death I'd prefer is that you cut their balls off, shove them down their throat until they choke to death. Now that's an appropriate penalty.
I am against the death penalty but for pedophiles I'd make an exception. There is no reason to use taxpayer money to keep them alive.
