What, are they diesel-electric boats?

Diesel/ Electric boats are short range and limited in depth, but they are also incredibly quiet, if maintained.

What if the support ship sailed close enough to deploy several of these small subs armed as nuclear bombs with jihad suicide crews?
The Japanese did it at Pearl Harbor ....

I always assumed Iran's leaders are shrewd. This is really stupid and proves that I overestimated them. Sanding out in the ocean, is the fastest and way to lose those vessels.

And Iran has a history of hyping it's military far behind what it's actually capable of and photo shopping demostrations.

Remember what Iraq had on paper and Iraq had top of the line Soviet stuff. Each time the US has whupped Iraq the Russies had their people on the ground watching so they could see how they stuff stood up to the US. In reality the Iraq stuff got wiped out easily enough whereas on paper US casulties should have been much much higher.

North Korea also looks impressive on paper in reality not so much.

Heck the US could buy Kilo subs and take them apart. We have buying Soviet hardware for a while and dismantling it. They may have been impressive in what they had to make do with but in reality they just have the resources to compete with the US in terms of tech. The US has always had more nukes then the Soviets. Same with tanks and planes and subs and aircraft carriers.

The US military has pretty much day one of the Cold War been able to wipe out the Russians in a non nuclear confrontation. Not saying they aren't good soldiers but they don't have the tech or equipment.

I would be more worried if Canada deployed their Navy at us..............well maybe not. Getting shot with syrup may be a bit sticky but that's about it.
