I call BS on that bit about confiscating firearms from folks behind on their taxes, or who didn't pay their toll fees. Quit spreading garbage.

Proof is in the pudding....when actual victims of the states illegal theft of their guns are talking about it that's all I need to know...the anti gun nuts have said for years that no one is coming for our guns..they lied.
Obviously, since it is from "Shooting Sports News", and apparently written by a California Gun Lobby group (CALGUN), it must be a false report, written to make Pelosi, Feinstein, and Boxer look bad!

[LEFT]Earlier this year, the state legislature expanded the list of what they call “prohibited persons” – people who have legally registered a firearm but, for various reasons, are no longer allowed their Second Amendment rights. [/LEFT]These reasons were expanded to include people who are behind on state taxes, did not pay toll fees in a “timely” manner and a wide range of other minor misdemeanors or reported mental health concerns.
Let the police state begin. The anti gun nuts of course will be ok with this because a few might be mentally ill...ya never know so lets just take everyone's guns.
I said a long time ago, in a debate about voiding the 2nd Ammendment rights of felons, that it would incrementally be extended eventually to parking tickets.
This is why ... no matter how reasonable the argument, like keeping guns out of the hands of violent felons ... you just CANNOT GIVE AN INCH .. you cannot allow the slight violation of the constitution, bevause that sets the stage for greater and greater violations.
You cannot allow a thief to steal just a little bit, while expectinf him not to eventually steal everything ... and so it is true with government violating the constitution. The founders put these restrictions of power there for damned good reasons ... shame on us for being stupid enough to allow these excuse makers to trample on that constitution.
