Los Feliz was buzzing Sunday afternoon as crowds of people lined up for hours to grab a cup of coffee from, uh, “Dumb Starbucks.”

The mock store, which quietly opened Friday, is nearly identical to a typical Starbucks location, with tumblers for sale and trendy CDs, including "Dumb Jazz Standards," displayed on the counter.

They should have opened in Silver Lake.

The hipsters would love it.

Turns out it was a gag stunt by some Comedy Central comedian. The City of LA Health Dept shut him down.

Hope he's still laughing when the fine comes in the mail.

Did you even read the OP? It mimics a Starbucks in many ways. A hipster would have no interest in it.

I'm sure the coffee was better than the cigar ash slurry you get at the real Starbucks.

Weird store. That had to be a copyright issue that would have been trouble had they not shut it down. They should have called it "Skcubrats" like a bizarro world Starbucks and had weird drink names like Bigfoot power or Turbo-vitamin-packed-fusion-soy-latte-one-shot-foam-vanilla-fudge-super-duper-energy-up-the-wazzoo-infusion-green-tea-hint-of-mint-desert-rose-angel-wings-butter-crunch-latte-winning-tigerblood drink.

Yes, the last one is one drink. : )

I can't believe that so many came and waited on line to be part of this stunt.
