LOL..you don't like it when he fights raising the ceiling and you don't like it when he caves in to the libs.
Just can't make up your mind there FB.
I don't like Boehner when he panders to the TNuts, he is OK when he actually works for Americans. Unfortunately, he panders more often than he works. I expect the 50 or so TNuts to be classless, but not the Legislators.
Accept what? Accept that if the Tea Party stands in the way long enough, we'll eventually lose elections and have no chance at all to reign in government and spending?
Long ball is the key to success. Small-ball demands have gotten us where, exactly? I'd love to see the proof that Tea Partiers think is in the pudding. Their ideals are pure, but they've not achieved much more than being a squeaky wheel. It's time a more practical approach, Intra-party fighting isn't working.
You are as bad as those you complain about. The (R) were gave power back in large part because of their promises to address run away spending. Have some balls and do that. Quit listening to the Sunday morning talking heads.
Well, considering that the debt ceiling has never failed to be raised, is never respected as an actual limit of any kind, and is not much more than an artificial wedge issue...wtf cares?
Any limit that can be moved any time you get close to it is not a limit/ceiling/whatever. It is merely a number serving as a placeholder in time, as in "in 2014, the debt ceiling was X" but isn't meaningful beyond that. So who really cares? If they raise it, lower it, or rename it The Galactic Measure of the Dark Side of the Force...it's nonsense regardless.
If it actually had a limiting purpose, then sure, maybe I care. In its current form, it's like caring about Boehner declaring the unicorns of Jupiter to be illegal aliens.

You sure have a disconnect from the real impacts Obamacare has on everyday Americans. The majority of people do not pay attention to politics until they are affected directly. Obamacare is causing serious pain in many american's lives and it is only going to get worse as more and more of it is enacted.
Suuurrree. If you say so it must be true. Its also making a immense difference in a lot of folks lives as well. But hey-who cares about them right?
Before Obama became president, raising the debt ceiling was not preceded by or conditioned with a threat to shut down the government, so all Boehner is saying is "we will do our jobs, behave ourselves and not cost the taxpayers $24 billion on a shutdown." He should have added--"because it is an election year." Should we be impressed?

Before Obama was president he said raising the debt limit was a sign of a failure in leadership.

Actually thats not true. Its been used as a effective negotiating tool in the past. Obama has been the first one to call it what it is-blackmail.
I think Boehners just tired of the useless drama.....
