The last partial audit revealed, Bernanke gave the EU 16 trillion, the exact amount we "were" in debt.

BB, see my previous post on 26 and 29 trillion break down. It is more than 16. Yes hard to believe. This was done to bail out the system from the repo run in 2007-2008. Nothing has been done to fix it either.

I support seizing the FED banks under RICO statutes, and then auditing how much of the stolen money we have captured which can then be returned to the Treasury, where OUR MONEY belongs.

What good is an audit if we already know the Fed is crooked? Such a waste of valuable time, resources, and political will

What say you?
I say check your spelling. I'm sure you meant to write "reveal". Revel is what you'll be doing if you live long enough to see an audit ever come to pass. More power to you, but I don't think either of us will live that long, since the Federal Reserve is not a government agency. Public petitions don't affect private financial institutions at all.

And it's a sorrow. If we had that power, the banksters might have been more cautious with their wholesale derivative slicing and dicing, and we could have avoided a huge recession.

Audits always matter for financial institutions. As to what comes of it. At the very least it can be available to the public. Specifics are always good. There is a lack of transparency and accountability all the way around.

Financial reports are really never discussed publicly. Only budgets. Even after all the work RP, largely did, nothing really happened. Govt and Banks are intertwined. If it hurts their bottom line they may take some action, but so far the arrangement has made them all a great deal.
