OK, let's try out your own argument against you:

Does the above make any compelling point? I think you will agree that the answer is no.

I guess those of us who may have driven while intoxicated at one time but who also say that it's a stupid thing to do and support various penalties for it are also, in your estimation. hypocrites.

As usual with people like you he's in a no win situation.
Why not just give an honest answer? It's not like he was ambushed. He was taking questions from reporters and refused to answer. I find it more disturbing that he seems to believe that if a 17 year old makes a "mistake" by getting arrested for marijuana possession it's alright that it should affect them negatively for the rest of their lives.

Unlike you, I like to know the most about a politician that I can before casting my vote, regardless of party.

Right.

As I said, he had no answer that would have satisfied you. Ahhh, I love the smell of liberal hypocrisy on a cold winter night.

As for your comment re my decision making process, you are making an unsupported ASSumption.

Oh boy.

An honest answer would have satisfied me. For him to be deceitful on such an innocuous question should raise flags. It's not like they asked him if he ever cheated on his taxes, beat his wife, or molested children.

For him to be scared to answer that question is ridiculous.

I don't like Rubio. Flat statement. But everyone who ever smoked is not obliged therefore to support legalization. If I got drunk as a teenager, am I therefore obliged to give the liquor cabinet keys to my teenage son? I think Americans are a bit unsophisticated in moral questions. Rubio doesn't have to endorse every mistake he made in his life.

Rubio has a future in US politics, and maybe even in WH, but it is not his time yet.

How was he deceitful? He answered a question by saying that, in effect, he wouldn't answer because he'd be called a liar in one case and a hypocrite in the other. He just didn't answer it in a way that you liked.

There's a rule in politics and law: Don't ask the question if you don't want to hear the answer.

Although I have no doubt that President Clinton's "I didn't inhale" was one you thought was completely honest.

Save your "oh boys" and embrace your hypocrisy. You wouldn't vote for Rubio anyway. I likely wouldn't either, but for real reasons, not your made up one.

What does that even mean? Although I'm glad that's good enough for you, it's not good enough for me or those who like to be informed and not led blindly by the nose by their political party. Seems like an ass baby way to respond to a legitimate question

"Although I have no doubt that President Clinton's "I didn't inhale" was one you thought was completely honest."

Sounds like your the one making "ASSumptions." Clinton was actually more honest than rubio. By the way, that question was asked over twenty years ago. Try and stay current and stop deflecting.

"Save your "oh boys" and embrace your hypocrisy."

Oh boy.

"You wouldn't vote for Rubio anyway."

Probably not. If he can't even answer such a simple question to me he obviously is not ready for politics, regardless of party affiliation.
