Medicare, Medicaid, SSI, and various disablity programs have been around a long time. None of them are revenue neutral. Republicans are pretty silent on reforming Medicare...wonder why?
I certainly applaud getting as many Americans access to HC as possible. At this time, we have not yet grown up enough to establish a Universal HC System, but we are moving in that direction.

I would hope so, since that is a big part of the intention of the Law, AKA, get more people covered.
The intent of the law isnt to put the taxpayers on the hook for peoples insurance costs.. It was to insure PEOPLE WHO WERENT INSURED.. not cause people to lose insurance and then celebrate cause the obtain insurance agin..

The administration continues to say it cannot estimate how many people who have selected plans have actually paid a first month's premium since the payment system has not been built. Experts and journalists who have spoken to insurers say the total percentage who have not paid is around 20 percent. This means it's possible HHS is now double counting some people who were dropped after failing to meet a mid-January deadline but are now applying again.

Reality is irrelevant to conservatives. Public policy is irrelevant to conservatives.
The original argument was the website sucked which it did, but the other argument was that no one was signing up the plans were too expensive, nobody wanted this, blah, blah, blah.
So now that the enrollment numbers are looking a lot better. They'll ignore the enrollment numbers and or create these conspiracy theories about why the enrollment numbers are fake or don't matter.
Finally after 10's of millions of Americans get insurance because of the new Law, they'll switch to another argument, oh people are just getting welfare. So either way they'll be vindicated about the law.

6.3 MILLION are now on medicaid, and while 3.3M insured would normally be good news, its not considering THEY KICKED 5 million off of policies in order to get new people insured.
If you are reobtaining insurance you lost, you cant really claim its a benefit, can you?
and since it appears about 90% of them (including the medicaid enrollees) are being subsidiez, where is the money going to come from if not by way of taxes on everyone else? And if such high numbers are being subsidized, then how will it add $1T surplus to the federal government, or cut the cost of insurance?

A simple question How many people have actually PAID for ObamaCare? Not "enrolled" but, paid.
You CANNOT answer the question because there is NO mechanism for HSS to know according to the head of CMS.
Enrolled ONLY means you have put something into your shopping cart. They have NO idea beyond that.
