If California has it the way it wants it, you'll only be able to carry with a two round magazine. Lets hope it doesn't come to that.
No one makes two-round magazines, and one of the courts just smacked New York on their 7-round magazine law and said that since none were made, such restriction was unconstitutional.

This is simply amazing. I truly had to search around for more sources because I couldn't believe it when I first saw it. This debate is nearly over. With the divide between the various circuits now, and the 9th and 7th Circuits blatantly calling out the 2nd Circuit, SCOTUS will have to take another 2nd Amendment case and end this nonsense once and for all.
WE WIN! Liberty wins! The Constitution wins!
As long as they either hear it before Obama can appoint another SC justice, or it gets delayed until the next Republican president. We're only 1 judge away from "we lose, liberty loses, the Constitution loses."

No one is mentioning the bigger implications of this. There's a precedent out of NY State that basically says the exact opposite. One, the other, or both are going to get appealed, and with a conflict between two circuits on the same issue, the SCOTUS is likely to take it.
Given the trajectory of decisions on Second Amendment issue set by the Heller and McDonald cases, with the core of the justices who approved those decisions still in place, we may soon see a precedent declaring that all jurisdictions in the US will have to allow weapons carry, without the carrier having to show a special reason to be allowed.
You are getting ahead of yourself, the decision was relative to the term "show good cause" and rightfully so because it is vague, nothing to do with prior decisions and specifically indicates that states may determine open carry policy.

The Court ruled that a government may specify what mode of carrying to allow
(open or concealed), but a government may not make it impossible for the vast
majority of Californians to exercise their Second Amendment right to bear arms.
NY's 7 round limit was overturned for being arbitrary, with no demonstrable reason why 7 was a "safe" number, not because magazines are not commonly made for that capacity.

That is interesting since any magazine ban no matter the number is arbitrary.
Even a law requiring a permit to carry a weapon is unconstitutional.
Look up the definition of "PEOPLE" in Blacks Law Dictionary.
I'm not restricting your right to carry a weapon.... You just have to ask our permission.
