Cruz has been known to waste everyone's time with stupid things like this....at least he is consistent.
It's a shame that they waste taxpayer dollars and time they could use actually getting done things that matter, and instead keep re-submitting this sort of symbolic BS that appeals to the lowest common denominator.
But then, as long as this stuff keeps them occupied so that stuff gets done without their interference in the senate: sure, go for it...
Only way to do it is declare independence...the feds have overstepped their boundaries and have ignored the 10th amendment...I for one am willing and ready to fight.
Unfortunately for you, you're ignoring that there is also a 14th Amendment, which says that "no state shall deny to any person within its jurisdiction equal protection of the laws". If it were cut and dry as you make it, there would not be a debate now would there?
Wanna bet.You people are pushing to hard too fast. The goal is to boil the frog slowly so it doesn't realize its being cooked...not toss it into a pot of boiling water...so it has a chance to escape/fight back.
Texas will comply with the supreme court's decision. The TX Confederate Militia can let off some steam like they always do..by shooting empty cans of Old Milwaukee.
I didn't see the part in the US Constitution, where it states that marriage, in any form is any of the Federal Governments business.
Can someone point that part out to me, so we can debate the law as it is written.....
The Supreme Court declared marriage a fundamental civil right protected by the 14th Amendment. That and since it grants hundreds of federal benefits, it falls under the domain of the federal government.

That was only to guarantee citizenship to former slaves. It has nothing to do with a supposed "right" for same sex partners to marry. It's a debate alright, but it's like the anti-gunners saying "shall not be infringed" means that guns should be confiscated.
Damn, you are REALLY obsessed with the gays.
You should see someone about that.
It is called homophobia....I think he is terrified that gay is contagious, and he may catch it.
