Had this president done what he said he was going to do by cutting much waste out of Medicare, we would be in far better shape. But, I have been on the planet a long time and witnessed your DNC using the elderly for votes for decades by promising more and more Medicare perks, like endless knee and hip replacements, endless motorized scooters etc. Your party is the one responsible for this bloated mess. The GOP were the evil ones as depicted by the DNC as wanting to get rid of it. So what is it you want again......If you do not get rid of it or at least overhaul it then you youngsters have to pay for it.
Yeah.."we're going to cut waste" and instead they cut reimbursements.

I guess paying the doctors and hospitals is waste ?

Republicans have quietly morphed into the party of entitlements since 2010 running to the left of Democrats complaining about the cuts to Medicare Part C when they also supported the cuts.

I think you spend far too much time thinking about what others think about in order to hate them.

Why would we be borrowing from China to cover it? ACA is supposed to generate $1 TRILLION surplus over the next decade.

You might think they have a better plan.

Heres an article from Avik Roy over at Forbes pointing out that the ACA isnt going to be going into a death spiral anytime soon.

Getting the government involved in the healthcare industry is not what I would call a good idea. Obama is in bed with the insurance companies and you know it.

Life is good, cheap Medicare, moderate Social Security check, nice retirement check from my employer. My investments did fairly well. Yes, life is truly good.

The 'messenger' of the Opinion Piece is the producer of the Rachel Maddow show, so his Opinion is worth no more than yours.

btw, everyone knew that many older people and those with pre-existing conditions would be winners. What took so many people by surprise is how many millions of people would be losers.
