Many will now ask for the little booklet describing flag protocols so they can then by-pass Homeland Security scrutiny altogether???? Seriously? The wrong flag........?????

I'm thinking they had enough salt for normal NJ winters.

"Department of Transportation Spokesman Joe Dee said the state has used more than 370,000 tons of salt as of Feb. 11, before last Thursday’s storm. That compares to 258,000 tons of salt used all of last winter."

I bet it's Spring before the Feds come up with "clearance."

Take your pick because our government is capable of either one these days.
After the abuses we have seen by this president and his administration, I wouldn't blame you for thinking that every administrative agency has been turned into a political tool.

I am sick of hearing about the storms in the east. Everyday we have to sit through ten minutes of whining from the NY announcers before getting to an abbreviated version of the real news. Those people are a bunch of wusses. Who cares? Not me. Learn to drive.

If Governor Christie had come through with a solid response to this storm, it might have helped him turn things around. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Barack didn't allow the shipment.

Of course the left would find this perfectly acceptable. The irony.

Alas yet another scandal like sand through an hour glass ...
A blonde N.J.woman at a stop light got the attention of a truck driver beside her "hey you better secure your load" light changes she drives off.
Next light again she gets his attention "hey your losing your load" he replies "hey lady its a salt spreader!"...

Christie shows himself to be a typical Republican by trying to smuggle in salt on a foreign flag carrier thus cheating Americans of jobs. Quick action by HS busts up the clandestine off-shoring operation and exposes the Republican plot. The salt is likely now on a legal US flag carrier having been loaded by union dock workers and is on its way to New Jersey. Why won't Christie just play by the rules?

Without road salt I can`t imagine how the NJ drivers will be able to get up over the mt. passes.
