You have to hand to the Commies though...Once they get cranked up they know how to put down little insurgency! Almost makes you miss the old days of the cold war....Back before the breakup we only had to worry about one bad guy maybe 2 if you count the Chicoms...Now days we're getting cut to pieces by a hundred little knife cuts in a dozen little crap hole country's that the Reds were holding down back then....

Am I to infer that the Ukranian people are fighting to be my slave drones?

Im not competent to speak on the complex history and relationship between Ukraine, Russia and the West; but I am sure it is far far far more complex than believing that Ukranian internal conflicts and their relations with Russia and the west is as simple as Ukranian political forces [with influences from the West] is working to keep the West's influence in that region accessable.

The West and Russia have made it no secret that they have and are vying for influence.

If you believe that those in Independence square are dupes working for the opposition forces to keep the west's influnce intact...I have no way of discounting that.

Are you that dense Robb? People even now, commemorate the great deeds of the past by people who helped shape their history, by naming streets after them, or erecting statues of them,. This happens all the time.

Poland unveiled a statue of Ronald Reagan

Several months ago, Lech Walesa, hero and leader of Poland's freedom movement, unveiled a statue in downtown Warsaw honoring President Ronald Reagan. Reagan an American with Irish roots, was inspirational in his efforts to topple the Soviet Empire that had Poland and eastern Europe in its death grip.

I need to add this from the above link, it seems a bit relevant to the topic:

His decision to meet and greet Romney stands in clear contrast to his refusal to meet president Obama when he visited Poland last year. Walesa said at that time, he was “too busy” to meet with President Obama.....that he had “a very tight schedule and it doesn’t suit me.”

It must be true given it's posted on the internet.

My husband has half-siblings in the Ukraine. From our very limited exposure to this part of the family and the Ukraine, I concur.

Diplomatic Bonds, O definitely "didn't build that!". Quite to the contrary, he has mostly destroyed them

I remember Lefty pounding into our heads one of the reasons that we had to vote O in was because our backward, racist theocracy and cowboy president made us the laughing stock of europe, and in turn the europeans celebrated our arrival into the civilized world when we elected O

Had the euros known that the highlights of O's foreign policy was increasing tension in the world by spying on our own allies and undermining Democracy as he is in the Ukraine, one would assume they would have preferred that we stick to our oafish, bible thumping ways and leave them be.
