I like to watch football, but let's be real, it is a foolish sport. They all are. When grown adults are playing games for a living, its insane. But, there's a demand for it, so it exists. Maybe foolish isnt the word for it, but its rather pathetic that weve got a society where men who play kids games, earn millions and millions. But we can only blame ourselves.

Soccer isn't about the individual game, it is about the season. Teams are measured by a points system. It is actually a pretty easy system to understand and make more sense than the scoring system for American football.

LOL.........yes you are correct we can only blame ourselves. But on the other hand soccer stars are idolized even more across their countries than even these football/baseball/basketball players are so it's not just a US issue. We don't go kill each other before the games though. Well it has happened but soccer riots and the hooligan clubs are everywhere and it appears no liberal has a problem with it. Why I don't know. I grew up on what WE in the US play so that is what I watch. Folks want to watch soccer I got no problem with it I just don't get it.......rather boring to me but that is me. They are great athletes too and if they were born in the US would probably be playing one of our sports. So goes it.

The Dutch don't play 6 Nations Rugby, the 6 Nations being England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, France and Italy.

England beating Ireland 13-10 just the other day in the 6 Nations, in front of as full house of 82,000 people at Twickenham Rugby Ground in London.

What scoring system for football. You win or you lose........oh wait I forgot liberals like ties and the like to make it all fair. Points system??? What do you need points for? A win is a win a loss is a loss. Pretty easy system to understand unless you don't think it's fair. lol

I do like rugby. Those guys are beasts. I had a buddy on the rugby team in college and man they were just all muscle. Not that NFL athletes aren't. I'm sure plenty of NFL guys could play rugby if they wanted........too much money to leave and you have to leave the US too.

I haven't seen any soccer riots at the soccer games I have been to in the US, I have however seen a big fist fight break out on this ice at a hockey game.

American Football has also become ever more popular in London and the UK since the NFL started playing regular games at Wembley Stadium. So not everyone feels the same as the deluded Dutchman.

There will be three NFL Games played in London in 2014, with the prospect of a London NFL Franchise being talked about.

I'm not talking about soccer games in the US lifer. We are civilized. Do I have to post soccer riots for you to realize? No you go google it hero.

As for hockey what happens on the ice happens on the ice. When they took fighting out of hockey the sport went in the tank. It's like car racing...........everybody sits around waiting for a wreck..........just like hockey.......everybody sits around and when a fight breaks out the crowd goes wild. Sad but true. That is because that is the only excitement in those sports. Soccer........why do they fight before, after and during in the stands...........well there is nothing else to do.

I don't know where Americans get this idea that we all have a big punch up at football (soccer) games because we don't. Perhaps back in the 1970's and sometimes in the 1980's we did see some soccer violence, but since then a lot has changed.

Grounds are now covered in CCTV cameras which monitored by Football Intelligence Units and any trouble results in Football Banning Orders, on top of prison sentences and other measures ranging from withdrawal of passports during International Competitions through to electronic tagging and having to sign on at a police station at match kick off time.

I have very rarely seen any problem in recent years, and away fans are generally whisked in and out via police escorted coaches and kept well away from home supporters. Whilst stadiums are now usually very plush and modern, all seater, very corporate and tickets a lot more expensive. Many stadiums have family areas and there is a large police presence on top of the large number of stewards. It's all a far cry from the game in the 70's and 80's.
