Liberal? hahahah

It's actually the libertarian anarcho-capitalists who're pushing for free movement of labor across international lines.

Key word: Illegal

There's no border enforcement within the region. The Schengen zone is an open borders region.
Agreed IF a person is from the Schengen area. If an outsider; the cops play rough. Maybe not rough like Mexican cops but they'll bust and hold illegal aliens in camps before being deported.

Virtually every nation has immigration laws. We want our nation's immigration laws enforced. This doesn't mean we don't want people coming here. It means we want them to come here legally. While citizens of European and Asian nations wait on long list to enter USA legally to become productive citizens, we are being invaded through our southern border by people who are a burden on our welfare system.

Is that why France is throwing out gypsies?

My friend, in EU the cops can randomly stop you on a random sidewalk, any train, highway or airport and simply ask for your documentation. Anytime you encounter the police they may check your immigration status. If you are found non-compliant you will be deported out of EU. There is no ICE in EU, the cops are responsible for deporting illegals. If you think that EU is some illegal Mecca you're mistaken. In fact, the EU is much more restrictive than the US. There are no safe-haven cities and no law of the land automatically granting citizenship to alien children born in the EU. There is nothing even remotely resembling an open border policy in the EU. Again, Why do you even keep this absurd argument ?
What you're describing is not border enforcement. It's policing.

weltschmerz, what you're referring to are Romanian citizens. Romania has yet joined the Schengen Agreement. Bulgarians aren't even Europeans.

Yes, but it's an open border policy nonetheless. 26 countries made an agreement to allow their citizens to live, work, and travel throughout the region.
