No , it is quite clear what Socialism entails.
Taking scenerios unfolding in a government and lableing them "socialist" does not change the historical context and definition of the word.

So what are these faces of socialism that you are referring to?
Exactly. I am one of those who experienced socialism. I am hearing the same speeches that I used to hear in Russian during Soviet era coming now in English from Barak Obama, democrats, and progressives. Almost to the point that their speeches seem to be written by the same writer, and translated from Russian to English.
There is a saying "Road to hell is paved with good intentions". Democrats and Obama are working hard paving that road, while their supporters happily marching on it without understanding where this road takes them to. Sad.

It is no wonder that Putin laughs at Obama. Of course he would like to have a happy citizenry, economically content with their lot such as it is, and still enjoy the prestige, wealth and power that comes with his position as President, hopefully for life if he can manage to maneuver it. But, I suspect that he knows all that is not possible under socialism -- not his type of socialism anyway.

I recall reading this piece elsewhere when it first came out. Read the Obama spokesman's comment above, which I bolded, then try to convince us all over again that the country is not going socialist.

Or it is from 2009 and is a satire piece that you just totally believed as truth. Bummer.
