Controversial minister Louis Farrakhan offered up a controversial idea yesterday at the Nation of Islam's annual convention in Detroit: The black community should have its own court system, because the existing system is biased against African Americans.

Isn't he suspected of Malcolm X's murder?

I doubt he'd do ok in that court system.

Who cares what Louis Farrakhan thinks, he's not even allowed in some countries due to his nasty racist and anti-semitic views.

Separate courts for blacks, he preaches that blacks should be segregated (voluntarily) from whites, hates gays.

He has a lot in common with Archie Bunker, but he's lucky he's black. If he was a white religious leader this stuff would be front page national news.

Goes to show you that extremists only THINK they are opposite ends of a spectrum. Instead, they are merely opposite sides of the same coin.

It's also why I believe that while racist extremism/separatism is adequately fought against when expressed by white people, it is often given a pass when espoused by a "minority"... but should really be fought against just as hard.

Farrakhan should be synonymous with David Duke.

I have a lot of respect for the NOI! I do not agree with their segregationist ideology, but without doubt, they are the leading organization in America for black uplift. To me they are like the Rastafarian of JA.....who worship haile selassie while NOI follow the teachings of Elijah Mohammed. Both are for black liberation and rise, through their religions, which is used for black uplift.
