This is almost laughable if it werent so disturbing. Look. I am not for all this trashy garbage either, but it isnt my right to demand she stop. What she is doing is not against the law. You can say the same for the Beyonces latest transformation into the raunchy as well. Do I like it? No. Do I think it is something our kids should be a part of? No. (And frankly, I think its rather pathetic and immature of adults to enjoy this also).
These parents seem to forget a couple things. You are the parent. It is YOUR responsibility to raise your kid and control what they see and here. What, you're suddenly shocked that your children's idol turned trash? LOL Why? All the signs were there and it is you're own fault to let your children have idols in the entertainment industry in the first place.
It is amazing how in 2014, many parents still don't get it. They are more irresponsible than these "entertainers". The solution is simple. Get involved with your kids. Monitor what they watch and listen to. No one told you you had to let them idolize people like this. No one forced you to let your kid sit in front of the tv all day.
And I hate to do it, but the Obama's are just as guilty. Obama once bragged how great a role model Beyonce is. Really now? I wonder how he feels now after her new garbage came out. You're POTUS. Are you not smart enough to know that your children's role models should not be phony, trashy, out of touch entertainers. Their role models should be people that actually are real heros. Hell, you can say you and your wife should be their role model. But to say some scantily clad woman who sings about screwing is their role model? Come on.

I am a Conservative and I get what you're saying but think you're off a bit. I think its more the religious folks that do that. They mean well and all, but its not the right approach. Everything starts at home. A lot of people have no idea what it means to be a responsible parent.

Where is the outrage over Marilyn Manson? Like him, long gone.
He received plenty of outrage. Again, I didnt like his target audience and some of his antics, but he's free to do what he wants. He received a lot of blame for Columbine. Unwarranted of course. Those killers had issues, and their parents failed to even attempt to be involved and help them.

Miley needs to kill the good girl perception if she expects to continue her career but it becomes questionable if she can do that and simultaneously maintain a significant part of her existing fan base. She's in that gap where she needs to attract the young adults but that is going to put the parents off of younger teenagers. That puts the parents in the position of having to make parental decisions, oh no!

If that is really true, and I dont buy it, than that is a mark against our society today. Why do some, especially women, feel they have to be trashy to succeed? Why do some in our society, feel they cant enjoy something unless its trashy, raunchy, or foul mouthed? Why does "adult" content today have to equate to any of those things? Feels more like immaturity to me than being an "adult".
Odd how I hear a lot of people complain about sexism and how women are portrayed today, yet these sort of acts seem to be praised and fawned over by the same people.
Anyways, I think its clear to many that many parents suck at parenting.
