Basically the EU has started another cold war by moving on Russian influenced area. They played the protester card but now haven't a clue what to do. Russia doesn't have to invade Ukriane is reality. They only have to make clear that if EU and allies do they are ready to support eastern Ukraine. How do you know it was the EU who played the protestor card? They have nothing to gain by doing it.
