'I use the word “systematized” because Black liberation theology was in existence long before Dr. Cone’s book. It originates in the days of the Trans-Atlantic slave trade. '
Apparently NOT. According to Rev. Wright's racist understanding...
Quote:
"The vision statement of Trinity United Church of Christ is based upon the systematized liberation theology that started in 1969 with the publication of Dr. James Cone’s book, Black Power and Black Theology."
Which is exactly why you've not been able to disprove any of Cone's White-hating racist statements, and can't refute the fact that Rev. Wright points directly to racist Cone as the inspiration for Trinity UCC's mission.
All the relevant quotes, citations, and links have already been provided. All you can do is try to deflect through ridiculously absurd misinterpretations. I've called you out on ALL of them. All you can do to rebut is opine. You've stated NO facts supporting your position.

THIS is a direct quote from YOUR link to Trinity's website, from Reverend Wright.
Did you not read the entire link? Did you just read the one section, and think, hey, that's it! Gotcha! Try READING the entire thing. Try looking for context some time.

This quote is relevant. And it comes directly from YOUR link.

"Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us,if God is not against white racists, then God is a murderer, and we had better kill God."

Indeed:
Quote:
"The vision statement of Trinity United Church of Christ is based upon the systematized liberation theology that started in 1969 with the publication of Dr. James Cone’s book, Black Power and Black Theology."
Again, DC, why ruin your reputation to defend a racist?
Again, I don't care about Cone. Since Cone is not a founder of Black Liberation Theology. So says Reverend Wright.
I use the word “systematized” because Black liberation theology was in existence long before Dr. Cone’s book. It originates in the days of the Trans-Atlantic slave trade.
It's uncomfortable for you to acknowledge that quote is from Reverend Wright, and from your own link, too. We understand.
It doesn't matter what you imagine. What matters is where Rev. Wright himself places the origination of Trinity UCC's vision statement. Wright places that squarely on racist Cone's founding of Black Liberation Theology:
Quote:
"The vision statement of Trinity United Church of Christ is based upon the systematized liberation theologythat started in 1969 with the publication of Dr. James Cone’s book, Black Power and Black Theology."
Cone is a racist. Wright and Obama jumped on the racist bandwagon.
Why do you insist on defending a racist?
