This is going to become problematic for Christian business owners. Just wait and see if gay activists don't seek out Christians for such services, then sue or force the business to close (as in the case with the wedding cake - I believe it was a test case and the business was selected for that). Gays are too much in everybody's faces pushing their agenda. It doesn't help their cause.

Brewer did the right thing. It is best for Arizona, which is what the governor should choose.

At any rate a business owner in AZ could refuse to bake a wedding cake for gays anyway. Homosexuals aren't a protected class in AZ.
Brewer said there have not even been any cases in AZ where people's right or freedoms were violated. In other words she said there have never been any incidents that have occurred where this law was needed to address.

I believe she is right. I can see where it could be misused by people on both sides of the issue. There are extremists on the right, and not even Christians, who could misuse it. Let's remember than one doesn't have to be a Christian to be a bigot. Those terms actually don't belong together and bigotry is not a characteristic of a true Christian.

Even the ladies on Fox thought it was an awful bill! I was chatting with my father who had his television on and they were not in favor.

So, who's for setting up a protest? Call the news people, get good OLD John McCain to decry the actions and let's get all discrimination WIPED from this earth!
That has been my point as well, our laws should protect everyone equally. I should not have my rights violated just because I can't afford to lobby my government to give me special protections. Everyone should have the same protections as a matter of course.

That's what prompted the legislation in the first place.

Always looking to make republicans out to be the villain, with sinister, ulterior motives, eh?
