Several Republican senators said Wednesday they were surprised and angered after a news report revealed that their GOP colleague, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, made a recent fundraising appeal for a tea party group that is trying to defeat GOP incumbents it doesn't believe are conservative enough.

The senators said Cruz's efforts appeared to violate his own pledge to no longer target sitting Republican senators in favor of tea party-backed candidates in the hard-fought 2014 campaign in which Republicans believe they have a chance to win back control of the Senate.

Cruz angers GOP colleagues – again – CNN Political Ticker - CNN.com Blogs

I find it hysterical that the GOP Senators ever believe Cruz about anything. Ted Cruz is concerned with Ted Cruz, period. He has no interest in the party to which he belongs. It's all about Cruz. Any Republican who believes otherwise is a sucker.

Anyone willing to sacrifice ANYTHING for the party should be summarily removed.

The party means nothing. The job (and removing the party power) means everything. The real problem in Washington, is that the party controls the agenda, and thereby the people (and liberty) are defeated.

We do not vote to have party rule. We vote to remove people and hope the ones that replace them are better.

I find it hysterical, that a Progressive Democrat, is worried about Ted Cruz.

Then post something he would never say. A blog no less......

He is all about getting more Conservative members in Congress, to help us Conservatives fight the Progressive push to a new world order.

I didn't elect Ted Cruz to go to Washington, to make friends, like all the rest.

I'm not worried about Ted Cruz. In fact, I'm gleeful that he's sowing discord in the GOP.

Well, sometimes it's helpful to make friends and influence people if you want advance to your interests. That isn't Cruz, and it's interesting that so early in his Senate career he's already burning bridges in the party.

Actually, he is trolling America. He assists the Democrats more than David Axelrod ever could.

Let me guess:

The OP doesn't realize that most Tea Party people are.................REPUBLICANS!

Oopsie!

Newsflash: If removing more liberal Republicans in favor or more conservative Republicans is what Cruz is doing, good for him and more power to him!
