Nyc is not how it is painted on this board. It is not some playground only for the rich and famous. It's mostly poor people here, with minorities likely out numbering whites (and I've only been to boroughs not named manhattan 3 or 4 times in 8 years, so would imagine queens, Brooklyn, bronx is even more so). The subway truly feels like a third world country. But the left has controlled the public narrative and paint this picture of the wealthy vs. The poor, and that the wealthy having means everyone else can not. The narrative is catchy and appealing: these wealthy people were given unfair advantages and that's why they have, and you don't. Let's take back what is ours!

Negative on everything you've said here. First, most people on the right were against Bloomberg's illegal reelection in 2010, and the right certainly did not support the hack liberal Christine Quinn who helped him obtain it. She was as left as Deblasio was in a lot of ways.
And Staten island is a conservative/republican borough...it's the only one of the 5, and it's the safest, and cleanest of them all. Staten Island is currently ranked as the most up and coming borough today...currently the St George area has had multi million dollar projects approved by city council for development.

No one can say any one of those countries followed literal progressive agendas.
But they all changed policies with the intent that the money would just come from somewhere to finance it all.
Greece, Argentina, Venezuela, Italy, France etc. all have suffered financially based on their policies.
Its about doing some things for the outer Borough's. Thats why he won the election. Mayor Bloomburg did a great job repairing the damage from Rudy (financial), now it needs to be extended to the other Borough's of NYC.
Nope, Bloomberg was an extension of Guiliani's policies and vision...Deblasio is the tide going in the other way. He is the next Ed Koch, and NYC may be headed for another era that they had in the 70s and 80s prior to those two.
They've been crying "unfair", "inequality" and victimhood.
Well now they are in the driver's seat.
Now they can raise the min wage in NYC.
Now they can raise taxes on the wealthy.
Now they can dismantle the school system and make it "diverse".
Now they are in the seats of power and can do what they claimed others didn't.
So I say let's sit back and watch what unfolds.
