Now what?

Showing force? Really? Americans should die to help Ukrainians? We should risk a nuclear confrontation over the Ukraine?

Lemme ask you this..what would Bush do to stop Putin?
Asking what Romney would do and what Bush would do has nothing to do with it. They are not the current sitting president. The question to you is: what should Obama do about it? Back up his threats to Putin, keep threatening Putin and continue to let Putin poke him in the eye with a stick, or maybe just shut the hell up? UE leaders are going about this diplomatically through dialogue with Putin while Obama sends threats through via the media. Oh, yeah, and Obama said he's not going to attend the G8 meeting in June. I guess that showed Putin who is in charge.

Syria/human rights issues in Russia/Ukraine - and Obama is right in the middle of it all.

If Obama surprises the hell out of everyone, including Putin, and steps up and actually follows through on his threats, will you be cheering him on?? When he tells everyone this is for the good of the country, will you believe that? Are you comfortable with a Russian spy ship sitting off the coast of Havana - 90 miles from the coast of Florida?

Context is important.

What Romney really said
: Our Special Ops and Black Ops will not be successful setting up a puppet-dictatorship, no matter how much money we funnel clandestinely to "opposition groups" in Ukraine.

What Obama really said: I'm confident our Special Ops and Black Ops will get the job done, and the "opposition groups" we are clandestinely bank-rolling will eventually gain power as our puppets.

You can mull that over for a while.

Russia is not a "geo-political threat."

Russia is a "threat" to your Standard of Living, your Livin' Large Quality of Life and your excessively high wages, in the same way that China and India and all of the developing-States are.

You gained your superiority, and you maintain it by brutally politically, socially, and economically oppressing others around the world.

Russia, China, India and Brasil are protecting the States that you are trying to rape and maim to prop up your fantasy life-style.

Don't you think it harms our country when people excuse lies, incompetence, and failure simply because the guy is a dreamy political leader of your party? Both parties have the sheep, Obama seems to have the largest flock.
I think brutally oppressing other people politically, socially and economically so that you can lord over them and have a superior Standard of Living is harmful, and it demonstrates gross incompetence on your part, as well as a total failure.

It remains a relatively weak economic power and certainly a weak military and political power, and the United States treats it as it is: a significant regional power with a great many weaknesses, and when it threatens American interests, the United States is quite happy to slap it back.
Blah, blah, blah, blah, what a loser Friedman is. And you read that crap?

China is not a superpower, but then they don't have to be.

China --and Russia and India -- just has to keep doing as Jesus commanded in order to bury the United States politically and economically......and they are in no hurry to do that....it's much more fun to make Americans suffer intense economic pain for as long as possible.

Internationally....

Personally, we can get all puffed up and send out our horses or bayonets. Spend billions of dollars and risk thousands of lives again. Or, we can handle this intelligently as in the 21st century.

All of you who feel you need to "prove something" must be hell to live with!

P.S. Blah blah 47%...was said in a private meeting and was largely true...Obama's white Democrats vote for Hillary because they are backwards and racist was on the other hand overlooked by the media to shield him from his own incompetence.
Russia invaded Georgia in 2008, another former member of the U.S.S.R. The only way your claim would be substantiated is if Russia invaded Turkey or France or Denmark.

be honest and admit the flaw in your argument and fall back.

Barack should be shining Putin's shoes.

obambo has been on the wrong side of absolutely everything he's touched.

Putin knows what sort of little boy obambo is and has made obambo his beeyatch. Sadly, the world suffers for it.

Even Cankles couldn't have screwed up as badly as obambo.
