I believe they're referring to some of our official delegation. Billie Jean King was among them. And yes, Obama most certainly sent those people because they're gay. I thought it was great.

The US would destroy Russia's conventional military forces in a week. I suppose at that point, Russia would launch the nukes. We would all be third world.
The US and Russia should be working together to keep China in check instead of fighting over Crimea.

First mistake...never underestimate anyone....sure their military is weaker since the fall of the soviets...but it is still a monster. Even if severely damaged it would still be very dangerous...besides China might not like their buddy getting kicked around...what do you do with China...they have millions of expendable soldiers...and some nice equipment...also the middle east would side with Russia....nope....war is not an option....as for the Ukraine....none of our business.

What freedom? Most people in Crimea self-identify as ethnic Russians. Freedom for them is to be a part of Russia and not having to learn Ukrainian they never spoke at home. I am all for Ukraine but Crimea and eastern Ukraine is a lost cause and a reason Ukraine is so divided now.

Yet for the longest time (until a lawsuit), the US made females in the military cover their hair when stationed in Saudi Arabia.

If we want to address freedom, let us start with oppressive regimes like Saudi Arabia first; the US did not even care when Saudi Arabia sent troops into Bahrain to crush protesters.
