Im independent (despite the assumptions of many here), but in my mind a president who signed an agreement along with other countries that they would respect the borders in exchange for 1,900 nuclear weapons being given up, would return a portion of those nuclear weapons when the agreement wasn't adhered too.

My number of choice is 46, of various configurations. I mean they DID get some cash too. Soooo yeah 46.

I suspect that might make Putin realize that maybe...just maybe that original agreement should have been respected.

Of course we know they have missiles, but them firing off one kinda reminds people this ain't game. Just like there's a difference between knowing somebody has gun, and them pointing it in your face.

Yes, I am interested. I'm interested in why someone would make such a boneheaded connection between John Kerry arriving in Kiev and a missile test that was obviously planned before any of this happened.

You're forgetting Russia's part of the deal - they have to respect Ukraine's borders too, and they signed the agreement. They haven't done that by their moves in the Crimea, and that's why there's a problem. Got little to do with Obama or any other US President.

That's what a strong president would do.

What the current fool in the WH will do is exactly nothing.
Good grief, please educate yourself.

We can embargo all we want. It won't make a serious dent because Russia is not a big enough trade partner with the US.

We ARE freezing Swiss assets of Russian officials in Switzerland.

The EU has already said they will NOT get on board (not yet anyway). They get a huge amount of their oil and gas from Russia. That isn't exactly a simple thing to replace.

Russia's economy is already in the toilet. The ruble fell yesterday to its lowest EVER rate versus the dollar. Their stock market is in the tank, largely due to their involvement in Ukraine. It's self-inflicted.

Again, educate yourself.
