You may remember the "sympathetic" Uighurs (pronounced WEE'-gur) from when the Obama administration released three of them from Guantanamo to frolic in Bermuda. He released more to other countries between 2009 and 2013. They are Asian Muslim separatists. Let's see if any of the terrorists that China arrests in this latest incident were Guantanamo Uighurs.
"More than 10 assailants slashed scores of people with knives at a train station in southern China, drawing police fire, in what authorities called a terrorist assault by ethnic separatists based in the far west, state media said on Sunday.
Thirty-three people were killed and 130 wounded."

The police in Xinjiang, the ethnically divided region in far western China, fatally shot eight people on Friday after what the state-run news media described as an attack by assailants armed with bombs made from gas cylinders. Three other attackers died in an explosion they set off, the reports said. The official accounts did not identify the bombers, but it was clear that they were Uighurs, a Turkic people who have grown increasingly resentful of the growing numbers of ethnic Han Chinese in the region and of state controls on their culture and Muslim religion... The Chinese government has attributed the violence to Uighurs inspired by Islamic extremism and supported from abroad.
