For those wondering, the time limit to surrender in the ultimatum is 5am Tuesday local time, which translates to 9pm Monday US standard central time.

Has anyone from Russia confirmed this threat?
I see that it only came from a Ukraine Defense Minstery "spokesperson" who didn't give their name.
The treasury is empty and the new leaders think Russia is going to invade Kiev at any moment.

What you have is a broke new government desperate for someone to come in an rescue them.

I trust that the US watches from the sidelines, as this situation develops.

I trust oblamer ignores, from the 6th fairway, as this situation develops.
He tried to make a stand, called Putin, was put on hold for 89 minutes, laughed at for 1.

He's probably afraid he'd meet Putin face to face and Putin would snap his pencil neck.
I wonder where Snowden stand is all of this? I've already heard its part of a greater trade deal, we get to bomb Syria and Russia gets to take back the Ukraine.
Russia getting the Ukraine for giving up Snowden would be an incredible deal... for them. Or maybe Putin will agree to back off and we'll give away missile defenses.
The huge loser in all of this is Obama because he's not going to win anybody over in any event and will only lose support from the few left who have a neutral opinion of him.

So what do you think he should do? Bomb Russia, send troops in, what?

You cons are long on laughing and finger-pointing but very short on actual ideas for dealing with the crisis.

Obamy best not underestimate the Black Seas Fleet. It has some older assets but it still packs a punch.

You're right, obviously. There's very little that Obama can do against Putin - He doesn't have the political capital to do anything. I suspect it will be a repeat of the invasion of Georgia(Ostensibly an ally of the US) a few years ago.

Russia will invade. Win handily. This will act as a warning against pro-west leaders that the west cannot protect them and that Russia is now in charge on the world stage for their part of the world.
