If you smooched off of other peoples backs in the past, and now you have to pay for your own insurance, then you might complain about "hurting". I say "TAKE THE PAIN". I have paid for their insurance all my life, so I am not complaining that that finally have to pay their own way.
If you read the article, it said that 14% have been positively affected by ACA and 33% negatively impacted. Most people haven't been affected yet due to all of the exemptions.
So what happens if the Republicans gain the house, senate, and White house as a result of the ACA. Do they repeal it?
Most insured people get their insurance from their employer and are generally clueless about the ACA, beyond what they hear or party line.
I think we are beyond the point of repealing the ACA and Congress knows it. It can be amended or superseded with something else. The Coburn-Ryan bill is going no place fast. The Cato Institute pitch is DOA.
I have not been directly impacted yet, but it's coming down the pike. My union contract is up later this year and our health plan qualifies as a 'Cadillac plan.' which means that the corporate titans will be asking for high deductibles and other sacrifices.
In 2008 a union guy came around to our lunch room urging us to vote for Obama on the grounds that he would reverse the Bush tax cuts on the rich. Great move, union.
My insurance premium has gone up about 50% in the last 2 years including a 16% increase going into effect next month and the 5% additional Ocare fees Jan 1.
I think all pollsters predicted a strong Obama win in 2008. Which states and margins were missed by many, including Rasmussen.
Fox contracts with a Rasmussen subsidiary and the bias towards Republican candidates and positions is known.
No way anyone can poll 1000 people on any topic and come up with anything meaningful.
Most people I know no longer answer their phone/respond to email unless they know the caller/sender.
If you look at the sampling of every poll it is around 1k people, that is why each poll gives a error rate of a few points.
If a company produced skewed poll days no one would hire them because the data would be bad. It is in a poll companies best interests to provide as accurate data as possible, especially re political elections. If a company purposefully skewed the results then no one would pay for them.
If you'd bothered to read....you'd see that Rasmussen typically polls at least as many Democrats as Republicans, often more. They clearly state it for each and every poll....in finite detail. More than one can say about the majority of the polls running around today.
Typical liberal nonsense....blow off bad news unless it is one of their liberal cronies delivers it.
