I was just thinking and I am sure it has been thought of and/or proposed before but would not randomly drug testing the politicians that regulate, control and make laws in this country be a good idea? What makes them better than the average joe? And how about drug testing all judges and lawyers too. Anyone involved in the public sector for that matter. Random drug testing, including marijuana. What do you think? Drugs(including pot) certainly can cause dramatic changes in people's thinking and behavior and not always for the better. As the country gets more liberalized year by year would this be possible? Hate to sound like a fascist and all but better than a hypocrite.

Yes, I'd like to see them all tested for illegal drugs. It could make them think twice before enacting any more draconian drugs laws. Fortunately, as Americans, I think we're moving in the right direction on that issue already.

As one who put up with random drug testing at work, I am all for it.

How exactly would you test for mental health. A urine or blood sample wouldn't do so what do you propose.

I'd be for it. If people on welfare have to do it and those of us in the private sector have to undergo that kind of degradation, why the hell shouldn't they? Line 'em up and give 'em cups.

Maybe an IQ test would be a better option.
