We don't have to pretend, here's the letter from the IG clarifying his testimony. If 100% of the the groups with "tea party" in their name deserve scrutiny then certainly 100% of the groups with "progressive" in their name need to be scrutinized.
Your opinion is noted.

I don't have to defend anybody. They have proven quite up to the task of defending themselves.
Got it right, no rocket scientist needed to figure this out. I don't care who or what you are, when you plead the damn 5th you plead it for one reason and one only Period.
Would the public know of Lerner if not for issa and his witch hunts? All of issa's hearings are a joke to him. He bragged about having a hearing every week when the gop took over the house. He's wasting our tax dollars.
So if its so dam obvious, why do you continue to confuse the two?

I stopped here, its obvious you dont know what you are talking about.
You opinion would be that conservative groups deserve scrutiny and liberal one don't?

This would be contradictory to what Lois Lerner herself has stated, what other officials at the IRS have testified too and what the IG report says. Are they all wrong?
FYI, a Huffpo article is hardly a comparison to the letter from the IG. LOL

Most of us know the reason.
The 5th is very important. Our system is set up on the idea that the government must prove their case against you, not that you make it for them. Nobody should be compelled in any way to help the government make their case.
This goes way beyond any one person, this goes to the foundations of the country. Is it highly likely she knows she did things that would land her in trouble if she states them? Yes but the Constitution clearly grants her the right to not help out here.
That said, as I already noted, they should have been prepared to have moved on beyond this today. Restoring the faith in the government is more important than getting any one person. Dragging this out to keep it in the news to closer to election time doesn't help.
So if its so dam obvious, why do you continue to confuse the two?
Assumes facts not in evidence.
