You hafta wonder... if the 5th Amendment was actually about preventing justice why the Founders and Framers ever included it in the Bill of Rights?

You guys really don't think very hard.

Questioner: Do you see who robbed the bank yesterday?
Witness: No. I was busy killing my husband at the time and did not notice.
Questioner: Bailiff. Please take the witness into custody for the murder of her husband.

By "pleading the 5th" they would have never knew about the murder.

See how that works?
Or they just dont want the information made public

I'm not questioning the use of the 5th amendment, One of the very first and important things I've taught my kids is to plead the 5th if EVER questioned by the police, no matter what.

I'm questioning the need for immunity. She's willing to testify provided she isnt prosecuted for the things she says..

How can she be prosecutied for a non crime, which is your argument?

LOL... thanks for that. You have replaced my tears with mirth and amusement.

Right... Issa's committee hearings have ever, once, in all their history ever been about "justice, truth, and accountability." Please. My ribs ache. Make the laughter stop.
Has this Administration ever once, NOT STONEWALLED?!?!? Every damn time they or someone among them REFUSES to fully cooperate.

You dont hold information back if you have nothing to hide. You dont say Ill only testify if I get immunity just for the hell of it. She obviously has information, possibly that hurts herself as well.

But you are just like Obama, just like the pukes at MSNBC. You're a hack of a person, and a dirtbag of an American. You dont care about truth or anything else if it could hurt your agenda.

Anyone who keeps insisting that the purpose of the 5th Amendment is to conceal crimes is hating on the Constitution. Nothing more. Nothing less. Nothing else.

What a shocker, you ignored his argument about immunity. Oh, but im sure youll think of something "witty" to excuse it in a moment or two.

Instead of trying to bull ___ people, just admit the damn truth. That you dont give one damn what they are hiding, you dont care what they did. Just admit it. We all know that most of you are all alike. You dont care that they targeted your enemy. You're actually proud, im sure.

No, the purpose of the applicable part of the 5th amendment is to prevent one from incriminating ones self.

And I quote

"..., nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be witness against himself..."

People like ImaFraudHistoriandude arent even worth the time or effort. Is there any doubt he would applaud and defend this? Its as predictable as the sun rise. He wont admit it, but he is just like most liberals. They are glad the IRS did this, and dont want to get to the bottom of it. As far as they are concerned, it was helpful to their agenda in targeting their enemies.

My how different their reaction would be if the tables were turned. They'd be called for Lerner's head on a stake.

And why would that be necessary, if the objective had anything to do with justice.

I know that thinking hard about stuff is not the right wing forte'. But give it a shot. Stretch your mind.

LOL... so much butt-hurt. So little time.

I certainly have to say... I am grateful every single day that the Founders and Framers were smarter than the current American conservative movement.
