A) Guarantee a living minimum wage that is enough for people to buy food and pay rent.
B) Continue to complain about poor on the dole.

IF Obama was serious about it he would say lower taxes. For every $1.00 less you pay in taxes, that same dollar is worth more than getting a raise. I wouldn't expect you would understand it though and we sure as hell know Obama won't do it. ..

Our military has been eaten alive by pay and benefits. 40% of our military budget goes to pay and benefits. If you tack on VA benefits which are now at $150 billion you can see where we have pretty much put ourselves in a bind. To top it off the Tea Party types wont want to sacrafice their Medicare benefits. This is kind of like Rome where we have to shovel off all our assets to pay off the mercenary Military.
You libs kill me. You will reward lazy good for nothings with food stamps, phoney disability, welfare. You institute plans that go bankrupt like medicare, Obamacare and social security. But the only people you want to screw is the military that has allowed you to have all of these failed social programs.

No, what is suggested by the CATO study is reducing welfare benefits, tightening eligibility rules, and making work a legitimate incentive over the dole, because right now, even in a break even, or come out slightly behind evaluation, the dole keeps winning because it REQUIRES NO WORK, and as mentioned several times in the CATO study, you cannot discount the value of leisure.
If I can make $10 hour doing nothing, or $12 doing something...then doing nothing wins. That's the value of leisure.
