Pick one:
A) Guarantee a living minimum wage that is enough for people to buy food and pay rent.
B) Continue to complain about poor on the dole.

You can't have it both ways.

His comment was in no way bashing them, he was simply pointing out a bald faced lie.

I have no clue how much people in the military make, but i do know they all drive nicer cars than me.

This way he will also be able to get food stamps and keep low healthcare costs.
Here is a productive guy who has been transformed by Obama into a taker who will not be a contributor to the well being of our country.
Obama didnt transform him, the guy you met is someone who chose to game the system, why are you blaming President obama because someone else choose not to take personal responsibility.

All that being said, the above bold is a lie . He may have tried that but he wouldnt be able to get food stamps.

Dollar for dollar, lowering taxes puts more money in your pocket. Just an fyi.
That isnt true. The only way lowering taxes puts more money in your pocket is if the percentage of taxes lowered is equal to or greater than that of the pay increase.

IF Obama was serious about it he would say lower taxes. For every $1.00 less you pay in taxes, that same dollar is worth more than getting a raise. I wouldn't expect you would understand it though and we sure as hell know Obama won't do it. ..

Hint, if your income goes up you get to pay more taxes just the way Obama likes it.

You libs kill me. You will reward lazy good for nothings with food stamps, phoney disability, welfare. You institute plans that go bankrupt like medicare, Obamacare and social security. But the only people you want to screw is the military that has allowed you to have all of these failed social programs.

No, what is suggested by the CATO study is reducing welfare benefits, tightening eligibility rules, and making work a legitimate incentive over the dole, because right now, even in a break even, or come out slightly behind evaluation, the dole keeps winning because it REQUIRES NO WORK, and as mentioned several times in the CATO study, you cannot discount the value of leisure.

If I can make $10 hour doing nothing, or $12 doing something...then doing nothing wins. That's the value of leisure.
