I was on a conference call last week during an interview with an eminent climate scientist and he expressed disgust at what a bunch of chicken****s (his word) most scientists who were holding the rightwing corporate party line are. He said that virtually every scientist he talked to, even the public deniers, concede in private that man-made climate change is very real, but they lack the guts to go against the powers that be and state in on the record. He said, in effect, that no credible scientist denies it to his peers, because they all know it's real.

Methane absorbs and emits radiation within the thermal infrared range ~72 times better than CO2. However, there is also 215.8 times more CO2 in the atmosphere than CH4. Current CO2 levels are 395.6 ppm. Current CH4 levels are 1.819 ppm. The atmospheric lifetime of CO2 is estimated to be on the order of 30–95 years. Methane has an atmospheric lifetime of 12 ± 3 years.

Atmospheric methane is not that big of a concern.

Global is the sum of local.
So you believe in the magical "butterfly effect", where a butterfly flapping its wings in China can cause category 5 hurricanes in the Atlantic.

Obviously science is wasted on you.

There are many notable scientists that reject man caused climate change, and even one of the original founders of "Green Peace" has come out recently and said it was a hoax!
Tell me, who are these notable scientists, names please, and just how many are there?

One butterfly maybe not, but zillions of them, why not?
Nor is it necessarily about causing, but about triggering...

You must think the Harry Potter movies were scientific documentaries.

And yet liberal freaks have the audacity to claim conservatives do not comprehend science? Your post makes Rush Limbaugh look like a Nobel Prize winning Climatologist.

I don't understand where your problem is. It is well known in science that minute actions/events can have huge impacts. Just think of avalanches, the snowball effect...
Your trying to insult me is doomed to fail and only backfires on you

I am not the one asserting that global climate change is caused by magic. That would be you.

Only a Democrat could be so stupid.

You may call it magic, to most people it is physics.

I am neither Democrat nor Republican.
